Do You Need a Permit for a Shed in Seminole County?
Yes. Seminole County requires a building permit for all sheds. Site-built sheds require engineer-sealed plans and must be submitted through the county’s online ePlan system.
For properties in the Sanford Historic District, additional approval from the Historic Preservation Board is required before a building permit can be submitted. We have experience with this extra step.

- Note: Any additional permits, reviews, surveys, or special requirements beyond the standard permit are the responsibility of the owner
OPTION 2 — Owner Builder Permit Assistance
You take on the role of owner-builder, which means you are responsible for obtaining the permit and paying the county/city fees directly. We guide you through every step of the process so you never feel lost or overwhelmed.

- We walk you through every document you need to fill out
